In the New Zealand technology sector the big event for the year is TechWeek.
This took place during May and Nautech Electronics were the gold sponsor for one of the more popular events. MaD, short for Manufacturing and Design, is a conference initiative which started three years ago as the result of a collaboration between industry and academic researchers. Auckland University, Victoria University Wellington, University of Canterbury, University of Waikato, Wintec, RocketLabs and Fisher & Paykel are some of the other well recognised partners.
Having invested steadily in robotics, automation and quality test equipment Nautech were invited to present to the industry on our capabilities and the journey we are on to achieve Industry 4.0 standards. The benefits of this were clear to our audience with the gap between Asian and local manufacture now coming down to quality and reliability.
